Suspend a user account

Steps to suspend the user 

  1. Log in to the Google Admin Console with your Administrate Account.

  2. Click on “User” to view the list of all the users in your domain 


               

  3. Select the user that you want to suspend by clicking on their name 

  4. On the left side of the user page, the option“suspend User” Select it.

              Suspend user option is selected.
  5. The confirmation window will appear, confirm it 

               
  6. Click on "Suspend" to confirm and suspend the user.


    After suspending a user, you can restore the account at any time. 
                              After completing these steps, the user's account will be suspended, and they will no longer be able to access any Google services or data associated with their account. You can unsuspend the user at any time by following the same steps and selecting "Unsuspend user" instead of "Suspend user."

 When you suspend an account, the users:

  • Email, documents, calendars, Currents posts, and other data aren't deleted.
  • Shared documents are still accessible to collaborators.
  • New email and calendar invitations are blocked.

    Note: Google Workspace services, such as Google Drive files, Gmail, Google vault, Google Play, Google Keep, Currents, and so on are unavailable to the user.
